Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Job Location: Denton, Texas

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

 

Role Description

The Warehouse Associate will execute the activities and day-to-day operations of the warehouse.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Forklift operation. Load and unload trucks, pick orders, organize, and rotate products

• SQF (safe quality food) practices

• Master cleaning schedule

• Communicate with drivers and other departments

• Oversee/occasional help with temporary staffing, unloading containers, or reboxing

• Utilization of ERP systems to manage operations and inventory

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written professional communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.

• Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.

• Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.

• Ability to converse in Spanish preferred

 

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license for forklift truck preferred.

• At least two years of work experience in a warehouse is preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and stack up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to move around the warehouse.
